KTEC Schools of Innovation has announced the creation of the KTEC Innovators Soccer Club, a new program for middle and high school students. The club aims to provide students with opportunities to compete in soccer while developing skills both on and off the field.

The program will be led by two coaches with strong backgrounds in soccer. Coach Mariano Tenuta, who has played semi-professionally for Kenosha United F.C. and was drafted by the Harrisburg Heat in the 2022 MASL Draft, will coach both middle and high school teams. According to KTEC, he will focus on tactical excellence, skill development, and leadership.

Coach Franco Tenuta is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He owns Kenosha United F.C. and holds coaching licenses from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association (WYSA). With more than 25 years of coaching experience at various clubs, Franco Tenuta is committed to mentoring student-athletes.

For middle school students in grades 6 through 8, indoor soccer evaluations are scheduled for September at KTEC Schools of Innovation. Registration opens September 1, 2025, with a $75 fee covering training sessions, a team jersey, and league participation. Forms can be submitted either in person or online.

High school students in grades 9 through 12 can attend open tryouts on October 18 at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha. Registration also opens September 1; there is a $25 fee that includes a tryout shirt.

A spokesperson for KTEC said: "This marks an exciting new chapter for KTEC Schools of Innovation as we expand athletic opportunities for our students. The Innovators Soccer Club is built on teamwork, skill, and community spirit, and we can’t wait to see our athletes thrive. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend and support their players."

More information about registration procedures is available through official channels provided by KTEC Schools of Innovation.
