Village Of Paddock Lake issued the following announcement on Sept. 21
THIS IS FOR RESIDENTS OFF OF 238TH AVE/239TH CT ONLY
The Village of Paddock Lake has experienced a ruptured water line; therefore, a BOIL WATER ADVISORY has been issued until such time as two clear water samples confirm that the water meets Wisconsin Drinking Water Guidelines. You will be notified by door-to-door notification when the boil water advisory is lifted. Both Paddock Lake and Kenosha County Department of Health will be monitoring the water sample results until the advisory is lifted.
What should I do?
- 1. When all clear to use the water has been restored to your property, run the cold water from your bathtub until it clears, then flush each tap a few minutes until clear.
- 2. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute.
- 3. Any water used for brushing teeth, making ice, juice, coffee, tea or washing vegetables that will not be cooked should be boiled.
- 4. People with immune system is compromised such as the elderly, infants, and people with transplanted organs, on dialysis, with HIV/AIDS, etc. should pay attention to the use of a safe source of drinking water. Water that has been boiled is considered a safe source.
- 5. It is safe for people to take showers, bath and use in swimming pools.
- 6. It is safe to wash dishes in hot soapy water and then air dry.
- 7. It is safe to use the dishwasher
