The Village of Paddock Lake has experienced a ruptured water line; therefore, a BOIL WATER ADVISORY has been issued until such time as two clear water samples confirm that the water meets Wisconsin Drinking Water Guidelines. What should I do?

  • 1.     When all clear to use the water has been restored to your property, run the cold water from your bathtub until it clears, then flush each tap a few minutes until clear.
  • 2.      Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least 1 minute.
  • 3.     Any water used for brushing teeth, making ice, juice, coffee, tea or washing vegetables that will not be cooked should be boiled.
  • 4.     People with immune system is compromised such as the elderly, infants, and people with transplanted organs, on dialysis, with HIV/AIDS, etc. should pay attention to the use of a safe source of drinking water. Water that has been boiled is considered a safe source.
