Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman has announced the opening of Brighton Dale Links and Petrifying Springs Golf Course for the 2025 season. The announcement was made in a press release on March 25, 2025.

According to the press release, at the 45-hole Brighton Dale complex, only the 18-hole Blue Spruce course is open at the start of the season. The nine-hole Red Pine course and the driving range remain closed to allow additional time for newly reconstructed areas to mature before they are ready for play. Golf Director Jim Wallace noted that the 18-hole White Birch course is expected to open within two weeks, offering more options for golfers.

"We’re excited to begin a new season at our county golf courses," said Kerkman. "Under the leadership of Golf Director Jim Wallace, golfers can expect more of what they love about Brighton Dale and Petrifying Springs Golf Course, along with some new improvements."

Last year marked a record-setting season for these county golf courses, with approximately 78,000 rounds played at Brighton Dale and 42,000 at Petrifying Springs. The courses also hosted around 60 events and over 40 golf leagues, making it a busy and successful year for both locations.

Wallace expressed enthusiasm about upcoming enhancements: "We are excited to debut a new driving range, putting green and improved Red Pine course later this spring," he said. "These improvements will further enhance what was already an outstanding playing experience at Brighton Dale Links."

Kenosha County is managed by elected officials including a county executive and a 23-member board of supervisors. Located in southeastern Wisconsin, it borders Racine County, Lake Michigan, Illinois, and Walworth County. The county's mission is to enhance community well-being through efficient services that support residents and economic development. The county board functions as the legislative body representing districts of approximately 7,300 residents each.
