Moms for Liberty - Kenosha County has endorsed Brian Thomas in his campaign for the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) Board of Education, citing his experience and vision to propel Kenosha's schools "towards excellence." The election is slated for April 2.

"Brian Thomas' leadership as a county board supervisor and business owner, combined with his thorough approach, ensures he has the expertise and vision to drive our schools towards excellence," said Amber Infusino. "We are confident in Brian's ability to make impactful decisions."

In a Facebook post from December 2023, Thomas elucidated his decision to run for a seat on the KUSD School Board. He said, "KUSD has to find ways to retain students, attract back former students, attract new students and gain back the confidence of many parents. They cannot do this by continuing to do the same things that have led to the current circumstances. Creative use of school physical and human assets are the only things that they can control and there is great opportunity for both."

Thomas is concurrently seeking re-election to his seat on the Kenosha County Board of Supervisors, where he represents District 5. According to his profile on the Board of Supervisors' website, Thomas was first elected in 2022. The profile also reveals that Thomas, who previously coached track and cross-country at Christian Life School, volunteers with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in his free time.

Additionally, Thomas is an entrepreneur. His LinkedIn profile indicates that he established Kenosha Running Company, a specialty running and canicross store, in 2013. Furthermore, he serves as president of Industrial Safety Sales, Inc., which he founded in 1987, and Industrial Safety Controls, Inc., established in 1995. He graduated from Indiana State University.

The KUSD School Board's election notice informs that four board positions will be vacant due to members' terms expiring. The top three candidates receiving the most votes will each secure three-year terms ending April 25, 2027. Meanwhile, the candidate with the fourth-highest vote count will earn a two-year term concluding on April 26, 2026.

Moms for Liberty is an advocacy group championing parental rights in education. It was founded by Tiffany Justice and Tina Descovich, both former school board members. As per their website, Moms for Liberty says it is "dedicated to fighting for the survival of America by unifying, educating and empowering parents to defend their parental rights at all levels of government."
