KTEC High School will hold its inaugural Signing Day event on April 29, 2025, at the KTEC Schools of Innovation campus in Kenosha, WI. This event marks a significant milestone for the school, celebrating the achievements of its first graduating class. These students will be recognized for their commitments to technical education programs, certifications, or college, representing their entry into high-demand careers.
The community, including students, parents, families, and local partners, is invited to attend. Guests will have the chance to tour the campus, listen to presentations from national leaders in technical education, and witness KTEC's efforts to prepare workforce-ready graduates.
Special guest speakers include Roger Tadajewski, Executive Director of the National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3); Jeff Gaskill, Director of Education & Business Development at Snap-on Industrial; and Octavio Rojas, Sales Director at Festo Didactic US. These experts bring extensive industry and education experience to the event and will share insights on the importance of skilled trades.
Lisa Marshall, Festo Program Manager for NC3, emphasized the significance of skilled trades, stating, “We honor and recognize the value of skilled trades and show our unwavering support for students around the country who have dedicated themselves to pursuing a career in technical education. We also acknowledge the skills, dedication, and commitment these students will achieve and celebrate the positive impact they will have on society as a whole – all while fostering a culture of respect and dignity they will bring to the workplace.”
Dr. Angela Andersson, founder of KTEC, remarked on the importance of this day, saying, “This Signing Day symbolizes not just the success of our first senior class but the future we’re building together. Starting in the 2025–2026 school year, we will launch a new elementary and middle school that will join our high school on one unified campus. This expansion will allow us to provide a seamless 4K–12 educational experience, fostering students’ innovation, creativity, and critical thinking from day one. Through our partnerships with institutions like Gateway Technical College and employers like Snap-on, our students gain the foundational knowledge and industry awareness they need to thrive in high-demand career fields in Kenosha County and beyond.”
The event will begin at 12:30 PM with student demonstrations, followed by a presentation and recognition of seniors at 1:15 PM. The community is welcome to attend, with RSVPs requested by April 24.
The Signing Day serves as an opportunity to celebrate students entering career and technical education (CTE) pathways. These pathways lead to careers in fields such as advanced manufacturing, construction, transportation, aviation, health, safety, and information technology.
