Liliana Tenuta Administrative Assistant | KTEC High School
KTEC Schools of Innovation in Kenosha, Wisconsin, has appointed Karre Feuker as the new principal. The hire comes as the public charter school prepares to introduce an elementary and middle school for the 2025–26 academic year. The school aims to expand its offerings with hands-on learning for students in grades 4K–12, a move that has already seen over 250 new enrollments since the expansion was announced in January.
Feuker brings with her more than 20 years of experience in education. Her background includes serving as an education pathway teacher at Case and Horlick High Schools in the Racine Unified School District. She has held various leadership positions within the district and has experience as an associate principal at Union Grove High School, where she initiated a mental health steering committee.
Explaining her motivation, Feuker noted, "I have chosen to join KTEC because of its unique student-driven approach to learning." She holds advanced degrees in education and business administration from Concordia University and the University of Wisconsin–Parkside, respectively.
Feuker aspires to assemble a team of educators committed to student development beyond traditional classroom learning. She joins the leadership team following the tenure of Stacey Duchrow, working alongside Executive Director Dr. Angela Andersson and Assistant Principal Hailey Patty. Her long-term vision includes expanding business partnerships for student opportunities.
Familiar with the Kenosha area, Feuker has personal ties, as her husband attended local schools, and she collaborates with various institutions in the area, including Gateway Technical College and Carthage College. She has a strong background in curriculum innovation and entrepreneurship.
At KTEC, she plans to integrate career and technical education further by developing partnerships with local companies and educational institutions, focusing on fields like artificial intelligence. "Education is about more than just knowing the right answers," she said, emphasizing the development of skills like critical thinking and resilience.
Feuker is dedicated to fostering a safe and inclusive environment at KTEC, where "every student feels heard, respected, and encouraged to be curious." She considers it an honor to join the KTEC team and looks forward to redefining the concept of high-quality education.
KTEC Schools of Innovation continues to enroll students. The school invites families to open house events scheduled for May 7 and May 17.
