Kenosha County has reported a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on May 13, 2025, on Highway 31 in the Village of Somers. The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office and the Village of Somers Fire Department responded to the incident.
According to a press release, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Kenosha Joint Services 911 received a call from a driver who reported striking a pedestrian crossing State Trunk Highway 31 (Green Bay Road) from east to west in the northbound lanes. The driver was uninjured, remained at the scene, and cooperated fully with deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office. The Kenosha County Medical Examiner's Office pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene due to fatal injuries sustained in the crash.
The release further said that because the crash resulted in a fatality, the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) was dispatched to assist with the investigation. The name of the pedestrian is being withheld until family notification. The Sheriff's Office indicated that the investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time.
