Indian Trail High School and Academy has announced that its production of "The Prince of Egypt" has been recognized as a 2025 Jerry Award recipient, an accolade that honors excellence in high school musical theater across Wisconsin.

According to a press release, "The Prince of Egypt" received multiple 2025 Jerry Awards, including Outstanding Lead Performance honors for Emmanuelle Rios as Moses, Jaylese Smith as Tzipporah, and Stephen Stockholm as Ramses. Spirit Awards were given to Alivia Harper and Ezarria Papouet-Richardeau. The production was also acknowledged for excellence in direction by Kristen Singer, musical direction by Rita Gentile, choreography by Craig Miller, lighting design by Jessica Baker, set design by Elizabeth E. Schuch, costume design by Kristen Singer, and sound design by Eric Mielke.

According to the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD), "The Prince of Egypt" musical features music by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Philip LaZebnik. The narrative follows the epic journey of Ramses and Moses, who are raised as brothers but divided by a secret past that leads to a clash of destinies. The show includes the Academy Award-winning song "When You Believe." Performances are scheduled for March 28, 29, April 4, 5 at 7:00 P.M., and March 30, April 6 at 2:00 P.M. at the Indian Trail High School Auditorium. Tickets are priced at $15 for general admission and $10 for seniors, students, and staff.

KUSD states that theater arts education begins in elementary school with musical and operatic productions and continues through middle and high school with curricular and extracurricular performances. The 2024-25 KUSD Theater program has assigned roles to all auditioning students; cast lists should be checked carefully. Those interested in stage management or crew positions can still apply. Additional auditions for non-musical plays will occur throughout the school year.

Indian Trail High School & Academy offers two options for Grades 9-12: a traditional high school experience and the Indian Trail Academy, which features four career academies—Medical Sciences, Business, Kenosha Military, and Communications. According to Indian Trail High School & Academy officials, the institution provides rigorous academics alongside extracurricular activities and access to career education. Students in the academy apply through a lottery system while traditional students must reside within the school's boundary.
