Kenosha County Parks will host its annual Picnic in the Park event on Saturday, August 16, at Petrifying Springs Park. County Executive Samantha Kerkman made the announcement today.
The event is free and family-friendly, featuring activities such as live music, games, inflatables for children, food trucks, and booths from local nonprofit organizations offering educational opportunities.
A partnership with the Petrifying Springs Biergarten will bring food trucks to the site. The festivities start at 4 p.m., with fireworks planned for dusk. Activities are set to occur near the Biergarten at Petrifying Springs Park, located at 5555 Seventh St., Somers.
“Picnic in the Park is always a highlight of the busy summer in our Kenosha County Parks, and this year is no exception,” said Kerkman. “We’re excited to offer this free evening of entertainment and family fun to our county residents and visitors alike.”
Live music performances include Brewtown Beat, a Milwaukee-based ska band starting at 4 p.m., followed by Relativity, a rock and variety group, at 6:30 p.m.
