The Village of Salem Lakes will host its annual Community Day on August 9, offering a variety of activities and entertainment for families. The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., with food trucks such as Fresh Fix, Taco's to the Face, WI Style BBQ, Highland Soda Shakers, and Sweet Cream Ice Cream available from noon until 3 p.m. Additional food options including hot dogs, chips, water, and beer or seltzers can be purchased at the pavilion concession stand.

Children’s activities are free and include barrel train rides provided by the State Line Garden Tractor Association from noon to 4 p.m., balloon art and magic by Magic Dave during the same hours, face painting by Buttercup Art Face Painter until 6 p.m., and a petting zoo with pony rides hosted by Patch 22 from noon to 3 p.m. There will also be a crafting and coloring table in the kids’ area.

Other scheduled events include a vendor show from noon to 6 p.m., bingo between noon and 5 p.m., raffle baskets, a 50/50 drawing, and a disc golf tournament open to all skill levels starting at 10 a.m. Those interested in participating in the tournament can register online at https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournament/Salem_Lakes_Community_Days_2025.

Music will be provided by DJ Jeff Faye from noon to 3 p.m., followed by a performance by Midnight Rider Band from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Some picnic tables will be available for seating; attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

Alive Animal Rescue will have adoptable dogs on site and information about how visitors can support their organization. Attendees are also encouraged to help fill the pantry at the Sharing Center by bringing non-perishable food items or school supplies.
