The City of Kenosha’s public pools will end their 2025 season on Sunday, August 17, after hosting more than 15,000 visitors this summer at Washington Park Pool and Anderson Park Pool.
“Thanks for making it a great season — we’ll see you next year after off-season maintenance,” said Parks Director Katie Elder.
The pools opened to the public on June 17. Washington Park Pool is equipped with a zero-depth entry pool, interactive water features, a 200-foot water slide, drop slide, diving board, deck chairs and umbrella tables. Anderson Park Pool includes a large main pool, tot pool with a small children’s slide, two full-size water slides, diving board, splash pad, lockers as well as deck chairs and umbrella tables.
Certified lifeguards staffed both facilities throughout the season. Many were local high school and college students. The city expressed appreciation for their work and noted that having enough staff allowed both pools to remain open at the same time.
