At its meeting on August 25, the Village Board of Union Grove selected Eugene Bower to fill a vacant trustee position. The vacancy arose after Amy Ruffalo resigned in July. Six applicants were interviewed by the board before members ranked each candidate. Bower received the highest overall ranking from board members, and his appointment was then approved unanimously. He will serve as trustee until April 2026.
The Village expressed appreciation to all six residents who applied for the position and participated in the selection process.
